Koodalmanikyam Temple or Kudal Manikkam Temple or Koodalmanikkam Temple is located in Irinjalakuda, Thrissur, Kerala. The main idol worshippped here is of Bharatha, brother of Rama. The Utsavam or festival here starts one day after the famous Thrissur Pooram festival and lasts for 11 days. Each day of the festival, Seeveli is held twice, once in the morning and once at night, accompanied by Panchari melam. Seventeen elephants take part – two baby elephants are included in the procession, one standing on each side of the main elephant carrying the deity. The Netti pattam of seven elephants are made of gold while the rest are made of silver. Here are some of the photos shot during 23rd April 2016.

St. Mary’s Church, Venginissery is situated just around 8 km away from Thrissur town. On the way to Irinjalakuda, at Palakkal – take a right turn – the church is located on the way to Kodannur. These pictures are taken on 9th Jan 2016, during the Thirunal or Perunnal celebration.
